Crown Point provides the Christmas spirit to help Santa raise funds for local charities
December will be a magical time for children and families at the popular Crown Point Shopping Park in Duenton off Junction 1A of the M67. In addition to exciting gifts and offers at a large selection of favourite stores, Santa will be visiting each Saturday and Sunday during the run-in to Christmas.
Helping Santa will be the Rotary Club of Denton and Audenshaw. With Santa’s permission, their efforts will be helping many worthy charities. Last year they collected £1680 to donate to local organisations that included Tameside Young Carers, Denton Brass, Home Start Tameside and Haughton Green Young People’s Centre.
“This is always an important fund raising time for us, and the cooperation with Crown Point North greatly helps our ability to support so many important local causes,” says Alan Arrowsmith, Community Service Chairman of Rotary Club of Denton and Audenshaw.
Crown Point is already counting down the days to Christmas. Its extended late night offer started on November 28to 9pm every weekday and it offers free parking adjacent to the stores all year round. Manager Colin Gilligan, says: “ The popular Santa visits add so much to what is already a very festive atmosphere, and all our retailers join me in wishing Rotary all the best with their valuable fund raising efforts.”
